I have been bringing my cats here for 12 years. However, the constant change of vets and the increase in prices means I won't be coming back here. They were talking about charging 300 or more (they weren't keen on giving me a quote) for cleaning my cat's teeth! Thankfully I pushed for a price. The last time my cat had her teeth cleaned (3 years ago) it was 94. The check up alone was 48. I simply can't afford these prices, especially when each visit involves seeing a new vet.
Had an appointment at 11 am for my dogs annual Vaccination, by 11-30 I had not been seen yet, so I just left, phoned them up and asked them to send me my Dogs Vaccination Card and her health history as I would find another Vet, got the Vaccination Card but no history record that I had taken to them from my previous vet when I moved to the area. Had to phone again and request notes, they said they usually send the notes to the new Vet Direct, I said are you hard of hearing, I asked you to send all my Dogs health history, what do you not understand about that.They said they would send them, three days later no Health Record from my previous Vet has arrived, most likely sent second class, so it could take a week to arrive. If anyone moves Vets make sure you keep a copy your dogs Health notes for your own reference, as you may have difficulty getting them if you need them.
Was charged 28.50 for bringing in an injured seagull. In the many times i've previouly taken wild animals to vets before at any time of day or night, i've never been charged. There are other vets in the area, I would not take an animal to a vet that makes a profit from injured wild animals.
Truly put my 2 dogs welfare first all their lives and I truly don't believe you'll find a better vet or homeopathic practitioner than Alastair!
